Environmental Disaster Management Information System Integration and Maintenance Project

Absrtact
The main contents of this project include two parts, which are “administrative and operational support” and “system maintenance” respectively. In terms of “administrative and operational support”, the contact information of the units from the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) has been updated 9 times. Four educational training sessions were held with a total of 141 participants in order to familiarize the cleaning teams from different counties and cities with the operational system. A co-simulation exercise was held on October 8th regarding typhoons, floods, and earthquakes. This exercise is to familiarize officers from related sectors with the notification operations and support system operations. Notification systems had opened five times this year, including four times during disasters and one time for simulation exercise purposes. Engineers work in shifts whenever natural disasters strike. One person is on duty at a time with two others on standby, including either project engineer, system engineer, or programmer. Therefore, problems from users can be solved promptly and system errors can be revised in time. The data accuracy regarding the quantity of disinfectant and equipment is improved according to the actual implementation condition of this year. As to system maintenance, error detection and correction, regular update, and vulnerability assessment are conducted in cooperation with the Department of Environmental Monitoring and Information Management. Content inspection examinations are executed monthly.
